For example, a 30-inch shaped ottoman plus 1 inch is 31 by 31 measure. Measure the height of the base ottoman, and record the the results.

Two sides of the ottoman will be depth by height, for example, 30 inches by 15 inches, and two parts will be width by height, for example, 30 inches by 15 inches. Add 1 inch to each of the measurements of the seam allowances. Multiply this measurement by 2, and the total to the depth of the ottoman slipcover pattern with the seam allowance.
